1. Where are you based and which areas do you serve?

We are based in Gauteng, but serve the entire Republic of South Africa and SADC region

2. What are the costs involved to conduct a fire investigation?

The costs to conduct an investigation varies depending on the time spent on site, travel costs and report generation time. Please contact us and we will forward you a copy of our fees and tariffs document.

3. Are there any legislative requirements to practice as a fire investigator in South Africa?

All fire origin and cause investigators are legally obliged to be registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP). A list of registered fire investigation practitioners can be found at www.sacnasp.org.za

4. What international certifications do your investigators have?

Our investigators hold certifications from the International Association of Arson Investigators (USA) as well as the Chartered Society of Forensic Sciences (UK). Please contact us and we will forward you comprehensive CV’s for all our investigators.

5. Is it always possible to determine the cause of a fire?

This depends on the quality of evidence available post incident. Our investigators are guided by NFPA 921 Guide for Fire Origin and Cause investigation to ensure that our reported findings are scientifically valid and defendable when subjected to scrutiny.
